Interior design of a modern monastery complex

All the main premises of the monastery have access to the cloister - a rectangular covered gallery with bizarre columns and arches. Inside the building, another long gallery is discovered, decorated with a Gothic cruciform vault. The walls of this hall are decorated with yellowish-gray stone, the space under the roof is lined with small bricks of the same shade.

Indoors there are many soft sofas and benches for novices. In the central part of the room you can see several oblong table-shaped tables used for eating and storing all kinds of things.

The hall is illuminated with the help of several lamps under the lampshades on high legs with stable bases. During the day, light enters the room through a double window in the end of the gallery.

A rather steep spiral staircase, lined with light brick, leads to the second floor. When climbing up, you can use wrought iron railings with exquisite floral ornaments. Light falls on the landing through an arched window covered with a thin grille. In the dark, this zone is illuminated with the help of original lamps suspended from a high metal stand.

The meeting room plays a huge role in the life of the inhabitants of the monastery. At this point, the monastic community gathers to discuss the most important issues. Such events include the issuance of vestments to novices or the election of an abbot.

The room is quite dark, as light seeps through several narrow window openings. It is easy to notice a large number of thick candles placed in special recesses of the table, as well as towering on thin candlesticks. These attributes are used when conducting services.

Dining room (refectory)

The monastic refectory is located in the corner of the building. The interior of the hall has a fairly modern look. It is hard to believe that this comfortable room with furniture made from the latest materials is the place where novices of the monastery eat.

In the refectory you can see:
- cozy soft armchairs with gray upholstery on high but stable wooden legs;
- extremely comfortable sofas equipped with high soft backs;
- small tables with square wooden countertops;
- oblong table-table for storing dishes;
- chandelier of the original form;
- a long mirror.

The floors in the room of the monastic dining room are lined with light decorative tiles, and only in some parts of the hall are carpeted with a thin coating of expressive blue.

Monastic Beds
